Debbie French - Driving slowly on country roads, one gets a bird’s
eye view of the tangle of growth that exists between the roads and fields of corn, soy bean, sorghum and other crops. I relish the old fences that hold up the thorny roses and cedar trees and too
many weeds and wild flowers to name. These “field rows” are my
subjects and also the cultivated fields they contain. I love the juxtaposition
of the wildness surrounding the orderly growth of nature. My artwork is an
homage to Kentucky, the place where I grew up, left for 35 years and returned.
Matt Moffett - I
am an art teacher for the past 21 years. I taught several media, I find a
book is a lost art form in the current electronic world. As a teacher, I
have come to realize what a treasure an actual book is. Also, my paintings
have always been an escape for me. Moving from San Francisco to Tulsa, OK
in my childhood made me depressed… our family pets became my best friends due to my shyness…
