International Artist Residency Program, a not-for-profit arts organization based in Dallas, TX / Budapest, Hungary provides
international artists with the opportunity to produce new works while engaging with the arts community in Budapest, Hungary. The residency is an opportunity for artists, designers, theorists, writers and
curators to undertake a period of focused work at the HMC. Each residency
includes accommodation, working area, and access to all resources including WIFI, workshops, artist talk, gallery walk, field
trip. In selected instances, the residency may also include some basic materials

we can be of any help to assist you in your application please let us know. The
residency is located in Budapest. The residence offers shared room/bath/kitchen
as living quarters, and working area, exhibition, ArtistTalk, field trip. There
is a package price to attend the residency of the summer and winter residencies:
$1,250/artist. Artists are expected to pay travel expenses, meal, personal
costs, visa (if necessary) and artist materials.

Meals are the responsibility
of the artists. There are many shops, supermarkets all within 3 minutes walking
distance. Also, there is an opportunity for meals on wheels!
Accommodation prices are per person is a package price.
This includes bed linen, towels, use of fully equipped kitchen, lounges, internet, etc.
At the end of your stay we expect you to leave the residency as clean as it was when you arrived!
Throughout the residency the apartment and work spaces are expected to be maintained clean by
the residents and a final cleanup is required before leaving.
A cancellation of the residency
place is possible but should be done three months in advance in order to keep the centre dynamic and in its full creative
use. This is a responsibility that the selected artists take when they register
themselves to the program. Any refund of fees already paid is subject to
the conditions set out below:
– if a cancelation
is made not later than three months prior to the start of the residency all paid fee is refundable
– later the paid deposit/registration fee cannot be refunded
– in the case of a SHORT NOTICE (less than
8 weeks before arrival) cancellation, the paid residency fee is not refundable.
